KC’s Trenchfield Captains West Indies U19 Cricket Team for Third Year

KC's Jamie Trenchfield has been appointed captain of the Jamaica cricket team to the 2006 TCL West Indies U19 tournament which bowled off in Guyana recently. This is the third year in succession that Trenchfield has captained the Jamaica U19 team and his 4th year as a member of the team. At the age of 17, he successfully captained the team to the U19 title in Kingston in 2004. Trenchfield also captained the Jamaica U16 team for two years. In 2002, the team finished runner up and captured the U16 title in the second year under his command when he was voted MVP of the tournament. In that same 2003 year he made the Jamaica U19 team and was named the captain the following year when he captured the title at the age of 17.
KC Old Boy and former West Indies opener, Robert Samuels, is the coach of the team to the 2006 TCL West Indies U19 tournament.
