Michael Holding
KCOBA Jamaica 2001 Honoree and Jamaica and West Indies fast bowler, Michael Holding, received an Honorary Doctor of Civil Law degree for his contribution to cricket by the University of East Anglia, Norwich, England during the university’s four day graduation exercises which concluded on Friday, July 14, 2006.
Michael Holding is said to be the fastest bowler in the field of cricket. The legendary sportsman has produced many devastating spells of bowling, none more memorable than in 1976 when he took 28 wickets during the West Indies tour of England.
No doubt KC Neita Q.C will be eyeing “Tempus” for a partnership in his chambers to head up the "Village Civil Law " department. Don't be surprised if one day the “Whispering Death” is bestowed with Knighthood as Sir Michael Anthony by Buckingham Palace. His sister, Rhema, and her husband, the Governor-General of Jamaica would be well pleased.
