KC Old Boys to Receive National Honours

Kingston College Old Boy and sports administrator, Teddy McCook, is one of five Jamaicans who are to be conferred with the Order of Jamaica, the nation's fourth highest honour on October 16, 2006, National Heroes Day. McCook is being recognized for service to sports, particularly athletics.

Kent Pantry

Another KC Old Boy, DPP Kent Pantry is the recipient of the Order of Distinction in the rank of Commander.

A total of 113 Jamaicans will be invested with national honours and awards at the annual ceremony normally held at King's House, the official home of the head of state, the governor-general.

Teddy McCook is the 11th KC Old Boy to be conferred with the honour of Order of Jamaica. The others are Keith Johnson, Barrington Watson, Herbert Walker, Lawson Douglas, Gerald and Dennis Lalor, Marshall Hall, John Hall, Ossie Harding and Edward Zacca.

Kingston College Old Boys have received the highest number of Orders of Jamaica of any high school.
