The curtain came down on the 5th Kenneth Churchill Neita Inter-form Quiz Competition with the presentation of awards ceremony on Friday June 10th, 2006 at KC’s Melbourne campus. The competition involves all the 7th to 9th grades including the teachers (masters) at Melbourne. The coordinators are nurse Tasella Collie; guidance counselor Sonia Watson and staff teacher Maguerita Hall. Three KC Old Boys served as quiz` masters and researchers of the questions as well as judges: Twan Beckford, Andre Bruff and Romane Townsend. The results of the 2006 competition are as follows:
The competition is regarded as the most exciting event at the Melbourne campus. Since its inception five years ago it has generated tremendous interest and drawn a large turnout, especially at the finals. Named in honour of KCOB Churchill Neita, it is a fulfillment of a plan to lay the basis for identifying and preparing talents through the Melbourne nursery in order to ensure that KC has sustained and successful participation in the Schools’ Challenge Competition.
