2006 - 2007 KCOBA Board of Directors
Jamaica - KCOBA Limited Elects Officers and Directors
At the June 26, 2006 Annual General Meeting of the KCOBA Limited a new Board of Directors was elected. The members are as follows:
- Ronnie Chin
- Kenneth Dacosta
- Oscar Derby
- Victor Henry
- Courtney Josephs
- Rodrick R. R. Reid
- Dennid Richards
- Clive Savage
At the first meeting of the Board of Directors on Monday July 3, 2006 the following appointments were made in accordance with the new Articles of Incorporation:
- Chairman Oscar Derby
- President Kenneth Dacosta
- Vice President Victor Henry
- Vice President Courtney Josephs
- Hon Secretary Rodrick Reid
- Hon Treasurer Clive Savage
- Corporate Communications Officer Ronnie Chin
- Director Dennis Richards
It should be noted that the KCOBA Limited is now incorporated under the new Companies Act and as such has adopted new Articles of Incorporation to replace the old Constitution. New systems are in place for improved corporate governance and new policies to become consistent with the requirements of incorporation are being formulated by the Executive Committee of six Board members along with the Life members who are to be appointed to the Executive Committee in keeping with our Articles.
This new administration marks a turning point for the Association, now Company. Our membership plan is about to unfold under the stewardship of Director Dennis Richards and we look forward to the support of all old boys as we seek to build a support base for KC. Dennis has also been appointed to head up our Dinner Planning Committee this year as Ken has been elevated to a position of responsibility that will require him to have a much broader focus.
On your behalf, and on my own behalf, I wish to express thanks to those who served the previous administration and to ask them to throw their full support behind President Ken and the new team.
