It's been another rewarding year for our organization as we've hit many of our goals and are striving fervently towards others. We've reached out across the Diaspora and initiated the steps necessary to realize a united KC family. Our devotion and passion has been embraced by a myriad of supporters. Now more than ever a wide cross section of well wishers and stake holders are aware of where we are in our mission to restore glory to Kingston College , and they have signaled their desire to join us for the duration. Needless to say there is still a long way to go, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
KCOBA Atlanta Chapter
Over the past year we have made monetary contributions to the Challenge Quiz team and the construction of the social services building. The latter, our most ambitious project to date, saw us pooling resources with the Miami chapter to fully fund the construction of the building. Upon completion it will provide a strong source of pride and inspiration to know we could undertake task of this magnitude and complete it with no government help. That's a vision coupled with commitment that's unparalleled in our school's history. The KCOBA family deserves tremendous accolades and especially Churchill Neita and Audley Hewitt who spearheaded this project and showed how working together can make any task a success no matter how gargantuan. We look forward with enthusiasm to the start of the next project which we believe will be the building of the library and new classrooms above the administrative building. It is said without vision the people perish, let it not be said that we lacked the requisite vision for Kingston College , because we have certainly demonstrated that we are willing and capable of conceiving great things for the school.
The year has gone by and so much harmony has been on display, one has to be encouraged by the unity that emanates from our organization, it belies the character of any existing Caribbean organization. Our efficiency and conscientiousness are admired by many to the extent that our membership is growing and there have been numerous enquiries from individuals who are seeking ways to join with us. We will undoubtedly embrace all those who reach out to us, because we realize in unity there is strength and to work with your brothers and sisters for the up-liftment of a people is indeed our calling.
Our newsletter has been hailed as the best of its kind by citizens from all around the world. They have sent us numerous emails commending us on our timely and informative publication. Our editor and Webmaster are to be commended, they have taken what was once only a vague concept and have fashioned it into a vessel that is now depended on by the entire fraternity to chronicle the unfolding story of the KC family worldwide. Gentlemen we salute you.
As we go forward, lets relish the fortis spirit and strive boldly into our commitments for the upcoming year. Let it be known that "you cannot cross a wide chasm with baby steps" we must leap with faith and an abundance of confidence knowing that we are here for a reason and though our passage may not always be smooth that does not relieve us of our greater obligation which is to "give back and leave the place a little better than we came and saw it". Jah be with you always and may his guiding light show the way, that your work here on earth is a true manifestation to human excellence.
