A Few Words from the Editor

Glen Laman - Editor

Big changes are taking place "behind the scenes" of our newsletter.  We recently moved to our own repository on the worldwide web after the Atlanta board approved the funds to pay for a website. Previously we relied on donated space.   In keeping with this leap forward , we have promoted our Technical Editor- Earl Adams, to Webmaster.

Going forward,  readers will have access to a number of archived issues of the newsletter.  The "look and feel" of the current newsletter should remain the same with only  fine tuning here and there. We welcome your suggestions for improvement.

Just in case you didn't notice, I call your attention to the KC links on the left side of the page where you can link to several sites related to the "college" as well as video clips of the school choir and Michael Holding's cricket.

With the recent election of Portia Simpson Miller as president-elect of the ruling People's National party (PNP) and prime minister-designate, Jamaica is poised to join the handful of nations that can boast a female leader.  The level of chatter in the KCOBA community has been noticeably higher in the days following "Sister P's " victory.   We all wish her great success and hope this change augurs well for Jamaica, land we love.

Happy reading,

Glen Laman
