Letter to the editor

This article, KC Stalwarts Honored at Michigan by Ray Ford, brings back memories. I  remember the goal scored by Tony Keyes that Ray mentioned. I also lost my lunch money betting on that game, Most of the students lost their money and to this day I think it was rigged by the players. Most of us bet on a high scoring game with STGC losing. They did lose but the score was 2-0.

Ray didn’t mention the time the lights went out at the Stadium. That’s where I remember Tony most. Why? When there was no result? Well, Tony was running at full speed and the ball never touched the ground. He was controlling the ball between his head, chest and legs. This was a game against STGC and it was the rematch that we gambled on. I also remembered when the Brazilians came --I was a ball boy.
