KCOB Marland Nattie was re-elected President of the Jamaica Basketball Association at its annual general meeting at Alhambra Inn on Saturday, September 30, 2006.
Nattie, who is also Vice-President of the Caribbean Basketball Confederation, defeated a shocked KCOB, Pete Matthews 19-3 for the top spot. Matthews, who is also coach of the National Under-19 team and President of Runnin’ Rebels, was gracious in defeat and pledged to work with the new Marland Nattie administration.
Another KCOB, Winston Harvey was elected General Secretary.
