Kingston College Old Boys, Franklyn McDonald and Clarence ‘Ben’ Brodie, will be awarded silver and bronze medal respectively at the Institute of Jamaica’s annual Musgrave Awards ceremony scheduled for Wednesday,
October 4th 2006.
The 2006 Silver Musgrave medallist, Franklyn McDonald, is being awarded for his work in environmental science. KCOB Drum Major, Ben Brodie who is the co-founder and managing editor of The News will receive a bronze medal for his work in journalism.
One of KC’s most outstanding goal keepers of the 1940’s, Dr. the Hon Lawson Douglas OJ, CD, is the recipient of The Jamaica Medical Foundation’s Special Recognition for his outstanding work in the treatment and prevention of renal failure. He was presented with the award at the Foundation’s Gala Fund Raising Banquet on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at the Hilton
Kingston Hotel.

Football association (KSAFA ) held at Heart Trust-NTA headquarters in New Kingston on Saturday September 17th2006. The Toronto Chapter’s 2001 honoree and former KC Manning and Sunlight cupper, won the Presidency 52-39 and will serve a second two year term with fellow “Solid Achiever” David ‘Wagga” Hunt who was returned unopposed as General Secretary .
