Astor Barrington Vaughan

Barry “Vaga” Vaughan was immensely popular and knew every boy in the school by name. He started KC in form 1E in 1959 and represented the college in hockey and table tennis.  He skippered the hockey team.  He studied Art, Religious Knowledge and Economics at the  “A” level.

He was an accountant attaining ACCA level 2 certification.  He worked at Kaiser Bauxite Company, Price Waterhouse, Bernard Lodge Sugar Estate, Bauxite Trading Company and Ken’s Wildflower Entertainment Complex in Portmore.

Barry is survived by four children, Karen, Robert, Richard, and Ronald.  Robert and Richard also attended KC.  Barry’s passion in life was to make people happy and he did this often through the medium of music.  He was a record collector and one of those who revered vinyl, using CD’s only when forced to.
