Youngster Goldsmith Hurdles & Field Events Classic

The Kingston College track & field team incorporated the Youngster Goldsmith Hurdles & Field Events Classics in February 1998, and through the continued success and demand for the events that are offered, the meet has managed to maintain its place on the annual Jamaica Amateur Athletics Association (JAAA), calendar of events. We are now the major Hurdles & Field Events meet in Jamaica as of last season with the cancellation of the Hurdles & Field Events Championships, this makes the meet a not to be missed event for most High Schools and Elite athletes in training. The refurbished Stadium East Complex only adds luster to the quality of the event.
William “Youngster” Goldsmith, after whom the meet is titled, has and continues to make an invaluable contribution to the sport programs at Kingston College since 1950, in the area of weight training. Under his guidance over the years, the school has continued to excel in sports by winning numerous titles in various disciplines.
We have persevered to have attained this 10 year milestone and as such we would like to welcome your support towards making this a true celebration of the KC Spirit.
