The Eulalee Rodney Memorial Fund 2nd Annual Barbecue

On Saturday August 18, 2007, the 2nd annual Barbecue in Memory of Eulalee Rodney, the mother of Joan Hector, will be hosted at 2960 GA Hwy 212 SE, Conyers GA, 30094 starting at 6.00pm.
The proceeds of J$33,000.00 from the first Barbecue held last year was graciously received by the Basic School. It helped to provide the funding of a water tank that was desperately needed due to the recent drought conditions and water lock-offs that resulted.
Joan Hector had granted scholarships to the students of the school in year 2005 of some Ja$22,500.00, in memory of her mother.
This year 2007 we are targeting to raise U$1,000.00. (Ja$66,000.00) To help with the upgrade of the facilities, staffing and to provide scholarships to needy students
We have been advised by the Schools Chairperson of the Sponsoring body Mrs. Juliet Gordon that the parents of the students have difficulty in finding funds to pay school fees also the school facilities necessary maintenance and upgrades.
The school’s Sponsoring Body has embarked on a fundraising campaign including bedding cash, and kind and soliciting volunteers to raise the standards at the school.
We are appealing to Members of the KC alumni, friends and family to make a generous contribution at this event. If you are not able to attend we will graciously accept whatever financial support you are able to make. Checks may be made to the order of Joan Hector or Eulalee Rodney Memorial Fund.
The menu will be an attractive Jamaican Cuisine of Jerk Chicken, Curry Goat, Manish Water, Fish, rice and peas and drinks are on the house. We will have dominoes, music and good fellowship.
