Ian Wilkinson Wins 3rd term as President of Jamaica Chess Federation

Ian Wilkinson
Former first Vice president of COBA and attorney-at-law, Ian Godfrey “Legend” Wilkinson was returned unopposed for a third two year term as President of the Jamaica Chess Federation.
The indefatigable ‘dribellino’ cited the setting up of the inaugural chess league as the main achievement of his previous administration. The main plan for his new administration is to have the Ministry of Education make the teaching of chess compulsory in schools. He has so far made approaches to the Minister, the private sector and some principals such as Rupert Hemmings of Kingston College.
