I really enjoyed the commentary in your recent article in KCOB. Most of us with a Jamaican connection would have had the important message regarding the importance of education drummed into our minds from a young age. However, as you say the British influence in our lives made us lean more towards theory than practice. Luckily, I have found a way to make a contribution through my work here at the CDC. At the same time, we as a people have not realized our potential to use our minds to create wealth! We are beginning to understand that this is important, as we age in this society, but can you imagine if we had used these fine tuned minds to create wealth at a younger age while making a contribution to society at the same time. We can do it, we just need to tweak the education of our children so that they are more balance in their perspectives and approach to lile and living.
