Twenty Four Jamaican Schools register for Penn relays

Some of us are old enough to remember when KC was the first Jamaican school to compete at the Penn Relays. Nowadays the popular track meet has a distinctly Jamaican flavor as huge turnouts by Jamaicans over the years have transformed the meet into a "Jamaican Jamfest" replete with reggae music and jerk chicken.
The 114th running of the Penn Relays blasts off April 24 and runs through April 26th at Franklin Field at the University of Pennsylvania.
In addition to the relays, KC has registered Keitan Wilson in Discus, Tarik Batchelor in Long Jump, Omari Dookie in High Jump and Andre Peart in 400 meter hurdles.
Another name to watch is Leighton Spencer, son of KC Old Boy Noel Spencer, who is representing Don Bosco Preparatory School in the 3000 meters.
