Workers on the roof of the chapel

Termites have been busy eating away at the wood in St. Augustine's chapel.

The extent of the damage was only realized when workers started to examine the roof damage from Hurricane Ivan.

Pat McIntosh, KC Old boy and member of the school board has been coordinating the repair efforts.

The various KCOBA chapters have been collecting donations to meet the unexpected costs of repairs to the termite damage which is estimated at J$600,000.

In addition there is much work to be done inside the building which has not been refurbished in several decades. The cost for this additional work has not yet been determined.
