A Few Words from the Editor

The newest member of the Atlanta chapter of the KCOBA is Frank Subaran who graduated from KC in 1959.  After KC, Frank studied in Scotland where he earned a PhD in Telecommunications after receiving his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Edinburgh. He later studied economics at the University of London.

I haven’t met Frank yet.  You see, Frank actually lives in the state of Virginia.

Among his contemporaries at KC were people like Tony Johnson, Peter Maxwell, “Bumpy” Clark, Arnaldo and Mabricio Ventura, Jimmy Richards, Rev. Billy Hall, Granville Dowie, Dicky Coke, Martin Coke, Johnathan Earle, Doug Morais, Carlysle Dunkley-whom he would later work for as a special advisor when he was minister of public utilities and transport in the 1970's-Carl Francis, Geddes Campbell, Donald Jones, John Kirkpatrick and Lloyd Demetrius.

Frank joins other long distance members of the chapter such as Dr. Norman Foote, a pediatrician, who is a paid up member across the country in California and Dr. Ian Balfour, a pediatric cardiologist who signed up when he was living in the state of Missouri.

No matter where you are today, you can stay connected to the KC fraternity via the Internet.  So reach out and say a Fortis today!

Happy reading,

Glen Laman,
Editor
