President Keizs and Governor Spitzer Announce $4 Billion Endowment Fund

Dr. Marcia Keizs and New York governor Eliot Spitzer recently announced the establishment of a $4 Billion endowment fund for New York’s City and State Universities. Dr. Keizs is the sister of Dale Keizs who is a Life Director of the Toronto chapter of KCOBA.
The governor appointed Dr. Keizs to the State Commission of Higher Education last year On May 29, Governor Eliot Spitzer signed an Executive Order creating the 30-member Commission which was created to discuss New York’s current higher education system and address issues like improving access, expanding degree programs, the transition of community college students to four-year schools or the workforce and increasing the capability of state university research centers.
“Excellence in higher education is a key to our state’s future,” said Spitzer.
