KC Old Boys who wish to reconnect with the Fortis community will have three wonderful opportunities to do so in the next three months.
On April 5th the Toronto chapter will hold the annual spring dance featuring the music of the Winston Merritone Blake from Jamaica. The location is the St. Thomas the Apostle Church hall in Markham. Proceeds from this event will benefit the library at KC.
The following month, On May 27th the New York chapter will present their 25th Annual Reunion and Awards banquet at Antuns in Queens Village, New York. The guests of Honor include Lindley Headley, Molo Walker and Trevor Rhone. The Master of ceremonies will be Mr. Audley Hewitt leader of the Florida chapter. Presidential awards will be presented to Distinguished Old Boy Frankie Tenn and KC’s 1975 triple champion football team.
In June the Atlanta chapter will hold its eight annual Reunion and Awards Banquet at the Perimeter Holiday Inn Select. The guest speaker will be a KC old boy-- his Excellency, Anthony Johnson, Jamaica’s Ambassador to the United States. Music will be provided by another KC old boy, DJ Migrane. Our Honoree will be Atlanta Dentist Dr. Marc Roberts. Awards for community service will be presented to Karl Chambers, president of Integrity Children’s Fund and Derrick Harvey, president of the Atlanta Jamaica Association. Awards for service to the Atlanta chapter will go to Mrs. Alicia Adams, Mrs. Arlene Barrett, Mrs. Toni Laman and Mrs. Jo-Ann McNish.
It would be wonderful if you could make all three events. But try to make at least one and failing that buy a ticket or two to support the cause.
