Damion Crawford elected president of PNPYO

Damion Crawford

By Basil Waite

KC Old Boy and former UWI Mona guild president, Damion Crawford was elected to the presidency of the PNPYO in the election on November 29. The Frank Rance scholar swamped his rival, Mark Malbver, 178-55.

'Crazy Jim,' as he is popularly called on campus, completed his MSc degree in tourism management about four years ago. He figured prominently as a supporter and spokesman for Team Portia in the recent challenge mounted by Peter Phillps’ Arise and Renew campaign against Portia Simpson Miller for the presidency of the PNP.

Crawford now takes over the leadership from Andrew Okola who has left for law studies in the UK.
