On a sad note

S

tephen Manning, age 19 died on Thursday, March 12th 2009  as a result of a bizarre / freak accident (electrocution) while at football practice at the Marverly playfield, Kingston 20.

Reports are that about 6 p.m., Manning, who was playing football, went off the field. He leaned against a perimeter fence and was electrocuted. He was taken to the Andrews Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

He is the youngest son of the late former deputy Governor of the Bank of Jamaica, Frederick Manning. His mother is Mrs. Shernette Manning of the National Export Import Bank of Jamaica Ltd.


He attended 6th form at KC (previously at Wolmers), and was a true FORTIS man.

He passed away in a Corporate Area Nursing Home, Wednesday March 25th. @ 23:45.
