On Saturday February 7, 2009; a reception was held to bring together members of KC’s 1960 Manning Cup Football Team and friends.
The event was organized by retired M.P. and former State Minister, Errol “Jiggs” Ennis; who was a member of the team.
The reception was graciously hosted by Jiggs’ sister Beryl Ennis, Attorney–at-Law at her Barbican Residence, St Andrew.
Among those in attendance were: Dr. Basil “Bagga” Wilson and his lovely wife Mrs. Phyllis Wilson, Bunny Fisher, Lenny Smith, “Pipey” Booth, Lyndie Headley, Frank Lumsden, Dr. Jackie Williams, Freddie Green, Retired Auditor General – Adrian Strachan, Neville Oxford and Dale Keizs.
Like good neighbors St Georges was there led by there International Ambassador the ever present Patrick “Skedron” Smith, Dr. “Muggie” Graham and “Blabba” Campbell. Dennis Johnson (Calabar), and Don King (Excelsior), were also in attendance.
*Dr. Basil Wilson welcomed all in attendance. He expressed gratitude to Beryl for opening up her home for the occasion and for the provision of the delicious refreshments provided. Beryl was ably assisted in arranging the refreshments by Dr. Eileen Boxill, Q.C., her friend and colleague. Eileen is the Director of Legal Reform, Ministry of Justice and senior member of the Judiciary.
*Rohan Ennis, Jiggs’ nephew engineered lovely back ground music.
A great time was had by all reflecting on the passed and planning for the future.
