Kingston College (KC) walked away with two of the three trophies available at the 45th staging of the Roper Cup football fiesta at the Stadium East Field yesterday.
In the extravaganza between KC and their North Street neighbours and arch-rivals St George's College (STGC), the former captured the George Thompson and Roper Cups on aggregate, while STGC won the Pancho Rankine Cup for over 35s, 1-0.
In the feature encounter of the day, the present-day schoolboys battled to a 2-2 draw, thus enabling KC to win the Roper Cup 5-3 on aggregate.
Earlier, KC whipped the Light Blues 3-1 in the Under-35 game, giving the present boys a two-goal cushion, which they never relinquished.

Former National Under-17 player Prince Samuels headed KC in front from a corner kick in the 10th minute as they dominated the early proceedings.
But St George's showed why they are the all-island schoolboy champions and responded in style to take a 2-1 lead.
Marvin Morgan Jnr, son of former Boys' Town and Tivoli Gardens Premier League player Marvin Morgan Snr, latched onto a back-heeled pass and fired a low grounder past KC goalkeeper Marc-Anthony Harvey to level the scores in the 39th minute.
Deshawn Forbes gave the Light Blues the lead in the 65th minute after KC's reserve goalkeeper failed to gather from a free kick.
However, with time running out, 14-year-old substitute Kamaro Osbourne played a beautiful one-two with Samuels before slotting past the advancing Jevaughn Lennon in goal for STGC in the 87th minute.
Earlier in the day, St George's drew first blood against the Purples when they won the Under-14 game, 1-0, but KC hit back with a 2-0 victory in the Under-16s to capture the George Thompson Trophy 2-1 on aggregate.
Every year a past student is honoured, and this year St George's College Old Boy Clive Chambers was recognised for his role in fostering good relations between both schools.
