n case you missed us, our newsletter was recently attacked by a trojan horse, a type of computer virus that knocked us off the web for several weeks. We deeply regret this inconvenience.
Cyber attacks on web sites are now an epidemic. No one is immune. And so we must be ever vigilant. I recently read where the Department of Homeland Security is hiring over 1,000 computer security specialists to combat this increasing threat.
Everything is now back to normal with the KC Times although we still have some work to do in updating our site with the latest and greatest tools to further reduce any vulnerabilities.
A big thank you to our webmaster Earl Adams and Derrick Wright for their efforts to restore and cleanup our web site.

The football report
The 2009 Football season was a challenging and historic year for the Kingston College family on many fronts.
This year we started our season without 7 of our most seasoned players, namely McCaully Tulloch, Miguel Gordon, Kirwin Hill, Javaughn “Wappie” Hussey, Renaldo Graham, Jamie Hyde and Rohan Royce as a result of indiscipline, poor academic performance and/or migration.
Pre- Season Preparation
The Football season started on the 20th July with a summer football camp and concluded at the commencement of the Roper Cup championship on the 29th August which we won on a two goals to nil aggregate against rivals, St. George’s College.

Victor henry is the "Driva"
Itwas about a decade or more ago that KC acquired its first bus, thanks largely to the leading role played by the Kingston College Parent Teachers Association (KCPTA).
At that time, KCOB Victor Henry was at the helm, his first son was at KC, and he had steered the ship for 7 unbroken years with distinction. Close to a fifteen years hiatus followed thereafter. However, when second son Justine entered KC – as head of the class in September 2009, Victor ended his dormancy. He swore by Jehovah that his son is at the “Kollege” to stay .
“He must stay in an environment conducive to learning with a clean and safe and solid infrastructure.” It was then that Victor Henry recognized the enormous challenges facing his beloved alma mater. Fired-up with enthusiasm, he started agitating for change. He went into the mode of a “Driva”- started lifting his profile and was very visible on both campuses.

Dennis lalor's address to toronto chapter
Itis a distinct honour and a great privilege to have been invited to share this very important event with you, and to be your speaker. And I must say how happy and pleased I am to see such a large audience here.
Mr president, in issuing the invitation, you requested that I share some of my insights, and challenge those in attendance how best to help the KC board and management to achieve their stated objectives.
But appreciating that no man is an island unto himself, I thought I would accede to your request by first addressing the wider context in which our alma mater exists, in the hope that there will be a better understanding of the needs and task ahead.

M
ay the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be acceptable in thy sight, oh Jah. Teach us to number our days, so we may get a heart of wisdom. Walks was a wise man, and he knew the number of his days. Rupie Hoilette and I collaborated on this tribute and concluded that Walker had grown to a higher spiritual level. We would like to share a few short glimpses of our experiences with Walks.
After Pato’s Memorial Service on the 27 August 2009, Walks said, “Harris, I appoint you to speak at every KC man funeral.” I won’t repeat my response here. Walks just laugh a typical healthy Molo laugh, and said, “But I appoint you, I appoint you.” I could tell you nuff, nuff more, but suffice it to say, there was a natural mystic blowing through the air, we just were not listening.
Anton..., Molotov,........Lenin, Three Jamaican brothers with distinctively Russian names, to our knowledge those names were not replicated in Jamaica. That’s how we knew that Molo was unique and cannot be replicated. Molo’s Fortis experience helped him to hone and magnify his people’s skills, as he became more of a people lover and who was at his creative best when he was helping others.
He was an empathiser with the ability to be instantaneously on the same page with any one, seemingly at all times, on almost any subject requiring the Queen’s English or Patois.
