We are extremely excited about the news that construction has finally been restarted on the Melbourne Park social services building. This partially finished building, which the chairman of the school board has referred to on more than one occasion as an 'eyesore' has been sitting in a dilapidated condition for more than four years, while students were at times forced to eat lunch in an old bus hauled to the site for storage and not human habitation.

In form 6B , I sat in A' level math class for one term only. Actually, I dropped it before it dropped me. One of my so called friends suggested that I drop math because it was interfering with my extracurricular activities. But there was no truth to that rumour. In that one eventful term however, I got the opportunity to sit at the feet of the one and only Q.C. Edwards.

Veron "Captain Mike" Martin was born in the district of New Roads in the parish of Westmoreland and attended the Wesley Primary school in Central Kingston but later moved back to New Roads where he sat the common entrance exam. In 1965, he was awarded a free place to Kingston College and returned to Kingston to live with his aunt in order to attend the college.

| ISSA/ MALTA All Island trophy |
Kingston College defeated Wolmer's Boys 3-1 in the ISSA/Malta Under-14 Corporate Area football final to take home the 'Dickie' Coke trophy last month. They later defeated Denbigh 4-1 in the All Island Finals held at Campion College. It was the school's first win in this competition since 1986.
Congratulations to coach Dean Smith and the team on their success.
