Dr. Hall is one of the foremost educators in the United States today.  She is the superintendent of the Atlanta Public Schools (APS)--an urban school system of 96 schools with approximately 52,000 students and over 4,100 teachers.

Feeding the Homeless

KC Old Boys from the Atlanta chapter-- Kevin Boothe, Glen Laman, John Walker and Seymour Edwards -- joined the ladies of St. Hugh's Alumnae in a community service project to feed the homeless on March 22nd, 2008 in Downtown Atlanta. Old Boy Capt. Mike donated drinks from his restaurant.

On a pleasant spring saturday afternoon they helped to distribute food, drinks and personal care items to the homeless population. Free HIV testing was also available. read more>>

Fourteen year old Joel Nomdarkham of 8 MacDonald emerged champion speller of Kingston College after a grueling  two and a half hour  battle against  eight other 7th-9th graders in the final of the inaugural Winston Stewart  Spelling Bee Championship held in the library of the Melbourne campus on Wednesday March 12, 2008.

Atlanta Banquet Planned for June 14th, 2008

The KCOBA Atlanta Chapter will hold its Eight Annual Reunion & Awards Banquet on June 14th, 2008 at the Perimeter Holiday Inn Select in Dunwoody. Guest speaker will be his Excellency, Anthony Johnson, the Ambassador to the United States.

Music will be provided by another KC old boy, DJ Migrane. Our Honoree will be Atlanta Dentist Dr. Marc Roberts.  Awards for community service will be presented to Karl Chambers, President of Integrity Children’s Fund and Derrick Harvey, President of the Atlanta Jamaica Association.  Awards for service to the Atlanta chapter will go to Mrs. Alicia Adams, Mrs. Arlene Barrett, Mrs. Toni Laman and Mrs. Jo-Ann McNish.
